Yellow insulated ring for 10-12 AWG
The 2-130171-1 is a PIDG-series ring terminal from TE Connectivity, accepting 10-12 AWG wire and terminating to an M5 stud. The yellow nylon insulation covers the crimp barrel and part of the ring, with a serrated inner barrel that grips the conductor strands during crimping. The tin-plated copper ring is 0.039" (0.99mm) thick and 0.375" (9.53mm) across the outer edges, with an overall length of 1.090" (27.69mm). The insulation accepts wire insulation diameters from 0.150" to 0.250" (3.81mm to 6.35mm).
Insulation and wire range fit
The 0.039" (0.99mm) ring thickness and M5 stud size are fixed for this terminal; the 10-12 AWG wire range and 0.150"~0.250" insulation diameter window determine which cable jackets fit the crimp barrel. The serrated termination inside the barrel improves grip on stranded wire without cold flow.
