21-Circuit Barrier Block for Panel Wiring
The TE Connectivity Buchanan 2-1546306-1 is a 21-circuit barrier strip with a 0.374" (9.50mm) pitch, built for terminating individual wires at a panel or chassis. It uses two rows of screw terminals — 42 wire entries total — to land 12-22 AWG conductors, with the screws captured in a steel threadform finished in nickel. This is a closed-bottom block, so the screw terminates the wire directly against the internal bus bar; there is no through-hole PCB tail. The -40°C to 120°C operating range covers the thermal extremes inside a sealed cabinet or near a motor drive.
What the 20A / 300V Rating Means for Your Circuit
The 20A per-circuit rating is the maximum continuous current the bus bar and screw contact can carry at the rated temperature rise. The 300V rating is the working voltage between adjacent circuits and from any circuit to ground; the 0.374" pitch and dual-wall barrier provide the creepage distance to sustain that without tracking.
This block mounts to a chassis or panel through the integral flange on each end — no DIN rail adapter, so plan for screw-down installation. The top termination is a standard slotted-head screw; the bottom is closed, meaning the wire inserts from the top and the screw clamps it against the internal bus. With 42 wire entries across two rows, this is a dense termination point for a 21-circuit run — each circuit gets two positions, one per row, which is typical for daisy-chaining or feeding separate load and return paths through the same block.
