Panel-Mount Barrier Block for Power Distribution
The TE Connectivity Buchanan 2-1546686-5 is a 10-circuit barrier block from the #6 series, designed for power distribution in control panels, industrial equipment, and appliance wiring. It accepts 12-22 AWG wire and is rated 25A per circuit at 300V, with the 0.375" (9.53mm) pitch providing enough spacing for the voltage rating without crowding the wiring trough. The 3-wall (tri) barrier design isolates each terminal position, reducing the risk of arcing between adjacent circuits at the rated 300V. A built-in flange allows the block to be chassis- or panel-mounted, not just board-mounted through the PC pins. This makes it a practical choice for a junction point where the wiring enters a cabinet and needs a secure mechanical anchor before the PCB.
The 12-22 AWG wire range covers solid and stranded conductors typical of panel wiring, with the screw clamp providing a gas-tight connection when torqued to spec. Each of the 10 positions has a dedicated wire entry, so the circuit count matches the number of field wires. There is no shared or commoned terminal — every screw clamps one conductor.
