Ribbon Cable IDC Receptacle for 6-Position Headers
The TE Connectivity AMP-Latch 2-1658526-5 is a 6-position IDC receptacle designed for mass-termination to 28-30 AWG ribbon cable.
The 28-30 AWG range covers the standard 0.050" pitch ribbon cable used for parallel data buses and GPIO headers. The blue housing is a visual cue for the AMP-Latch series, helping line workers identify the correct receptacle during harness assembly. No secondary strain relief is built into the housing — the IDC termination itself provides the primary retention, so the cable should be supported externally if the assembly sees vibration.
