IDC Receptacle for 26-28 AWG Ribbon Cable
The 0.100" (2.54mm) pitch matches standard ribbon cable spacing and mates with 0.100" pitch box headers, making it a direct fit for internal board-to-cable interconnects in equipment racks, test fixtures, and industrial controllers. The blue housing includes a polarizing key to prevent mis-mating, and the feed-through design allows daisy-chaining multiple connectors along a continuous cable run.
That plating thickness supports repeated mating and unmating — typical for test-point connections or modular subassemblies that see field service — without exposing base metal to oxidation. The female socket contacts are on 0.100" row spacing, dual-row layout, giving 12 total circuits in a compact 2-by-6 arrangement.
Mating Half and Assembly Fit
The IDC termination requires a compatible ribbon cable and a hand or pneumatic press tool to drive the contacts through the insulation. The feed-through feature allows the cable to pass through the connector body, enabling multiple receptacles on a single cable assembly without cutting the ribbon.
