Ribbon-Cable IDC Receptacle for 20-Position Harnesses
It mates with the matching 622-series pin header to form a board-to-wire interconnect common in internal data and signal harnesses.
Termination and Tooling for the Build Line
IDC termination eliminates wire stripping and soldering — the cable is pressed onto the insulation-displacement contacts in one operation. For the 20-position dual-row layout, a hand or bench press with the correct 622-series die set is required. The free-hanging (in-line) mounting lets this receptacle sit at the cable end without a panel cutout, which simplifies harness routing inside an enclosure.
Gold Plating and Contact Reliability
The polarizing key (integrated into the housing) prevents a reversed or wrong-series header from seating, which protects both the contacts and the downstream circuit.
