Tin contacts suit moderate mating-cycle duty in controlled environments — the IDC slot displaces insulation on solid or stranded wire without a separate terminal.
IDC Termination and Wire Range
The specified 26-28 AWG range is narrow; using wire outside this gauge risks an unreliable connection or damage to the slot. The free-hanging (in-line) mounting suits point-to-point wiring inside an enclosure where a board-mounted header is the mating half.
Mating with TE CT Headers
This receptacle mates with TE CT series headers at the same 2.00mm pitch — typically a 6-position, single-row, through-hole or SMT header. The blue housing provides visual keying against mixed-position connectors in a multi-wire harness.
