Right-Angle IDC Connector for 26-28 AWG Ribbon Cable
It accepts 26-28 AWG wire and terminates via insulation displacement, eliminating the need for crimp tooling on each contact.
The pitch is 0.079" (2.00 mm) on both the board side and the cable side, which means the PCB footprint matches the ribbon cable spacing exactly. The single-row, 9-position layout keeps the connector narrow, useful for routing a 9-conductor ribbon into a tight keep-out zone near the board edge.
Wire Prep and Termination
No stripping or crimping needed per wire, which speeds up harness assembly. The wire gauge range is 26-28 AWG; the connector is not rated for heavier or finer wire. The contacts are tin-plated, which is standard for IDC applications where the connection is made once and not subject to repeated mating cycles.
