4-Position IDC Socket for Discrete Wire Harnesses
The TE Connectivity RITS 2-1746741-4 is a 4-position IDC socket for discrete wire termination, part of the RITS series. It accepts 20-26 AWG wire and terminates via insulation displacement, eliminating the need for crimp contacts and separate insertion tooling.
The 20-26 AWG range covers common signal and low-power wiring in control cabinets and sensor harnesses. For a build-to-print harness, the IDC termination means the assembly BOM is just the socket body and the wire; no separate terminal or insertion tool is required.
Mating Half and Connector System
As a socket (female) connector, the 2-1746741-4 mates with a matching RITS pin header of the same 4-position, 1-row, 2.00mm pitch configuration. The free-hanging (in-line) mounting suits it for wire-to-board or wire-to-wire applications where the socket is terminated to a cable assembly and the header is board-mounted. The black housing is keyed by the RITS series polarization to prevent mis-mating.
It is ROHS3 compliant.
