IDC Termination — What It Changes on the Build
No crimp tooling, no terminal loading — just a simple press tool for the whole 8-position block at once. The trade-off is that IDC is wire-gauge specific: this part is built for 24 AWG discrete wire, and the slot geometry won't reliably terminate a different gauge. If your harness uses 22 AWG or 26 AWG, you need a different CT IDC variant.
Mating and Mounting — Free-Hanging Fit
Free-hanging (in-line) mounting means this receptacle sits on the wire harness, not on a board. No board lock or panel feature; the retention comes entirely from the housing latch on the mating header.
