The tin-plated male pins are suited for signal-level interconnects inside equipment enclosures where the mating cycle count is moderate. The free-hanging (in-line) housing with feed-through feature allows the ribbon cable to pass straight through the connector, simplifying daisy-chain wiring in harness assemblies.
