The TE Connectivity AMP-Latch 2-215911-6 is a 26-position IDC receptacle designed for mass-termination of ribbon cable. A polarizing key in the housing prevents reverse insertion, and the feed-through design allows daisy-chaining multiple receptacles on the same cable run. The gray housing is the standard colour for this position count in the AMP-Latch family.
Cable termination is IDC — the receptacle accepts 26-conductor 0.100" pitch ribbon cable and terminates in a single tool stroke using a standard IDC hand press or bench press. The free-hanging (in-line) mount allows the receptacle to sit anywhere along the cable, and the right-angle cable exit routes the ribbon flat against the board or chassis. No secondary strain relief is built in; the IDC termination itself provides the primary cable retention.
Gold-on-gold contact interface with 8.00µin gold on the receptacle side gives reliable signal-level connections for repeated mating cycles in low-voltage digital or analog signal paths.
