ZQSFP+ Ganged Cage — 1x6 with Integrated Heat Sink
This is the high-density evolution of the QSFP+ form factor, designed to support 28 Gbps per lane for 100G and 400G line-card interfaces. The press-fit termination eliminates soldering, making it suitable for backplane assembly where rework and thermal management are priorities. The right-angle through-hole mounting places the cage parallel to the PCB edge, matching the standard faceplate I/O layout on switch and router line cards.
EMI Shielding and Light Pipe — Signal Integrity and Status Indication
This cage includes EMI shielding. The integrated light pipe provides visual link-status indication on the faceplate.
Press-Fit Termination — Rework-Friendly Backplane Assembly
For the harness designer or board assembler, this avoids thermal stress on the board during reflow and allows individual cages to be replaced if a port fails — a key advantage in high-reliability telecom and datacom equipment where field rework is expected. The through-hole mounting provides mechanical retention against the insertion and extraction forces of the mating module.
