ZQSFP+ Cage Assembly, 1x4 Ganged with Heat Sink
This isn't a bare connector; it's the complete port interface for a quad small-form-factor pluggable transceiver, designed to be press-fit into a backplane or motherboard. The press-fit termination means no solder wicking into the signal vias — the compliant pins cold-form into the plated through-holes, which is standard for high-layer-count backplanes where rework is a concern. The integrated heat sink provides a direct-contact thermal path from the transceiver to the cage top.
The press-fit termination defines the board-side assembly process. The compliant pin footprint requires a specific plated through-hole diameter. The light pipe feature is a molded plastic channel that captures the transceiver's internal LED and pipes it to the panel bezel. On a 1x4 ganged cage, the light pipe is a single molded part with four channels — one per port — that aligns to the module's LED window. The EMI shield is a separate metal clip that wraps around the cage body and grounds to the chassis through the panel cutout. Both features are integrated into the cage assembly, so there's no separate light pipe or shield bracket to source and assemble.
