ZQSFP+ Cage, 1x4 Ganged — Integrated Heat Sink and EMI Shielding
It accepts standard QSFP+ modules — the ZQSFP+ interface is the same mechanical footprint as QSFP+, so compatibility is direct. The cage includes EMI shielding and a light pipe, both built into the ganged housing. Press-fit termination eliminates the need for soldering, which suits high-reliability backplane assembly where rework access is limited. The right-angle through-hole mounting places the cage parallel to the PCB edge, matching the I/O panel cutout for a clean faceplate exit.
Press-fit compliant pins push into plated through-holes without solder — the interference fit provides the electrical and mechanical connection. This avoids the thermal stress of wave soldering and makes field replacement of a damaged cage possible. The through-hole mounting gives the cage the mechanical rigidity needed to withstand repeated module insertion and extraction cycles.
EMI Shielding and Light Pipe
The integrated EMI shield contains radiated emissions from the high-speed differential pairs inside the ZQSFP+ module — essential for passing FCC/EN Class B in switch and router designs. The light pipe routes link-status light from the board-mounted LEDs to the front bezel, so an operator sees port activity without opening the cage or relying on the module's own indicator.
