9-Position DE-Size D-Sub Receptacle with Board Lock
The housing is black polyester with glass fill, rated UL94 V-0, and the steel shell is tin-plated with an M3 threaded insert for the mating jack-screw hardware.
Board Lock and Solder Termination
The board lock feature is a pair of barbed retention posts that press into the PCB during through-hole soldering. They hold the connector flat against the board during wave solder and provide mechanical shear resistance from cable strain after the connector is mated. Without them, a mated D-Sub cable assembly can lever the solder joints over repeated disconnect cycles — the board lock takes that load off the signal pins.
