Contact system and termination
The 2-34123-1 is the #10-stud circular member of TE's Solistrand ring terminal line, accepting 14-16 AWG wire with a tin-plated copper contact. The brazed seam and serrated termination inside the crimp barrel grip the conductor strands — the serrations bite through surface oxide for a gas-tight connection, while the brazed seam prevents the barrel from splitting under crimp force.
Dimensions and wire preparation
Overall length is 0.636" (16.15 mm) with an outer edge width of 0.343" (8.71 mm); the terminal thickness is 0.031" (0.79 mm). Non-insulated barrel — the installer must apply heat-shrink or tape over the crimp if the termination sits in a conductive enclosure or where creepage distance between adjacent terminals is tight.
