8P8C RJ45 Jack, Right-Angle SMT, Shielded
The shielded shell carries an EMI finger that grounds against the panel cutout — a detail that matters for radiated emissions compliance in equipment with metal I/O panels. The bicolor green-orange LED provides link and activity status indication directly on the connector face, saving a separate indicator on the board. Rated for Cat5 performance, this jack supports 100 MHz signaling — sufficient for 100BASE-TX and 1000BASE-T Ethernet links in structured cabling environments.
Board Layout and Assembly
The SMT termination and board guide features help align the part during reflow, and the solder retention pads anchor the shield to the board — without them, the jack can lift under cable strain. The tab direction is up, meaning the latch release is on the top side of the jack. Packaged in Tape & Reel (TR) with a Cut Tape (CT) option, the part is compatible with automated pick-and-place assembly. The single-port, single-row design keeps the footprint compact — no wasted board area for multi-port ganged jacks.
