24-Position Power-Signal Hybrid Header
The TE 2-6450830-8 is a 24-position MULTI-BEAM XLE header with a 20-signal, 4-power contact layout, designed for board-edge power distribution where a single connector handles both logic-level signals and bus-level current. Four rows of male pins and blades accept the matching MULTI-BEAM XLE receptacle; the power blades are physically larger than the signal pins, so the connector is keyed by geometry — you cannot insert a signal pin into a power cavity.
Board Lock and Mating Guide
Without them, the right-angle orientation would lever the header off the board under repeated mating cycles. The mating guide is a molded alignment post on the header that engages a corresponding pocket in the receptacle housing. It prevents the contacts from stubbing during blind mate — useful when the connector is recessed in an enclosure or the assembler cannot see the interface.
