9-Circuit Barrier Block for Power Distribution
The TE Connectivity 2-796608-1 is a 9-circuit barrier strip from the #6 Buchanan series, designed for panel-level power distribution where a single block terminates multiple field wires. Rated 25A per circuit, this block handles motor contactor feeds, control transformer secondaries, or heater loads inside an industrial enclosure. The 3-wall barrier design (Tri) isolates each circuit on three sides, reducing the chance of a stray strand bridging to the next terminal during termination. Bottom termination is wire wrap, suited for a backplane or terminal block daisy-chain.
The 25A per-circuit rating is continuous at the 105°C operating temperature of the thermoplastic insulator. In practice, that means you can run 25A through every circuit simultaneously as long as the ambient inside the enclosure stays below 105°C. The terminal screw finish is zinc clear chromate over steel — corrosion-resistant enough for a dry industrial cabinet but not rated for outdoor or washdown exposure. If the panel sees condensation, pair this block with a sealed enclosure or specify a stainless alternative.
