The 2-84533-0: With 20 positions, the connector spans just under an inch of board edge — a compact fit for dense layouts where every millimeter of keep-out zone matters. Right-angle through-hole mounting places the FFC entry parallel to the board surface, keeping the cable flat against the PCB. The 0.189" (4.80 mm) height above board is the z-height budget the cable bend radius must clear. The connector accepts FFC thickness of 0.30 mm — a common standard for signal flex circuits. The tapered cable end type aids insertion into the top-contact beam structure.
The tin-plated phosphor bronze contacts handle the current within the PBT housing's thermal limits — no derating needed at 85°C ambient for signal-level loads.
