The TE Connectivity 2007194-1 is an SFP+ cage connector designed to house a pluggable SFP+ transceiver module, providing the mechanical enclosure and EMI containment needed for 10 Gbps and higher data-rate links. This is a through-hole solder-mount cage, not a receptacle with signal contacts — the cage itself grounds the module and manages radiated emissions, while the signal path runs through a separate SFP+ connector (typically a 20-position press-fit or solder-tail receptacle) mounted inside or behind it. It ships in tray packaging, which suits medium-volume hand-assembly lines where tape-and-reel feed is not required.
Mounting and Termination Fit
This gives a stronger mechanical anchor than a surface-mount cage, especially important when the module insertion/extraction force cycles through the cage.
