What This Light Pipe Does
The TE Connectivity 2007309-1 is a light pipe accessory designed for use with QSFP+ cages. It routes the port LED signal from the cage to the front panel, giving a visual link-status indicator without running wires to each port individually. This is a mechanical light guide, not an electrical connector — it carries no current and has no contacts.
The 2007309-1 is specified for use with QSFP+ cages. It is not a universal light pipe — the mounting interface, light-entry geometry, and panel cutout are matched to the QSFP+ cage footprint. It will not fit SFP, SFP+, or QSFP28 cages without verifying the mechanical interface against the cage manufacturer's drawing.
