USB 2.0 Micro-B Receptacle for Board-Edge Integration
It is the receptacle half of the micro-B interface, designed for portable device charging and data sync ports on PCBs. The gold-plated contacts handle a per-pin current rating of 0.5 A on the signal pins and up to 1.8 A on the VBUS power pin at 30 V, which is the standard power budget for USB 2.0 battery charging applications.
This receptacle is specified for surface-mount soldering, right-angle orientation, with the connector body sitting parallel to the board edge. The solder retention feature provides additional mechanical hold during reflow and against the shear force of cable insertion. The mounting feature is listed as horizontal, meaning the connector opening faces the board edge, not upward — typical for a PCB edge-mount USB port on a phone, tablet, or peripheral.
Durability and Contact Reliability
The steel/stainless shell provides the mechanical retention and ground path required by the USB 2.0 specification.
Operating temperature range is -30°C to 85°C, covering indoor consumer and industrial ambient conditions. The part is ROHS3 compliant and lead-free per the current directive.
