Backshell for CPC Size 17 — Thread Fit and Cable Clearance
The TE Connectivity 206070-8 is a backshell with integrated cable clamp for the CPC (Circular Plastic Connector) series, size 17 shell. It provides strain relief and cable retention for the rear of a CPC connector assembly, with a 180° straight cable exit. The 15/16-20 UNEF thread mates directly to the coupling ring of a CPC size 17 plug or receptacle, so the thread size is the first check — if your connector body uses a different thread, this backshell won't fit. The cable opening measures 0.453" (11.51 mm), which sets the maximum cable bundle diameter that can pass through the clamp.

The package includes five pieces total: three pieces form the cable clamp assembly, plus two mounting screws. The screws secure the clamp halves around the cable, so no additional hardware is needed for a basic install.
