Mounting and assembly
Surface-mount termination with the shield soldered to the PCB ground plane. The package options are Tape & Reel or Cut Tape, so it feeds into a standard pick-and-place line. The single-port, snap-on design means the mating U.FL plug pushes straight on — no alignment key, so the board layout just needs clearance for the plug body and cable bend radius. Gold body finish is standard for U.FL; it resists corrosion in indoor equipment but is not rated for sealed or washdown environments.
