3.50mm Pitch, IP67-Sealed SMT Header for Harsh Environments
The housing is black liquid crystal polymer (LCP), a high-temperature thermoplastic that survives lead-free soldering profiles without warping. Tin-plated brass contacts are standard — adequate for the rated 30 mating cycles, but not a high-cycle field-service connector. If your application needs frequent disconnect, the tin finish will wear faster than a gold-plated alternative.
Current Rating Depends on Your Wire Gauge
The 2106053-4 carries a dual current rating: 3.5A with 22-24 AWG wire, and 5A with 18-20 AWG wire. This is a sourcing decision point — the BOM's wire gauge determines the actual current capacity. If your harness uses 22 AWG for signal-level loads, you're limited to 3.5A per circuit. For power delivery, step up to 18 AWG to get the full 5A.
The SMT termination requires a reflow profile compatible with LCP (peak temperature typically 260°C). For field replacement, the 30-cycle rating means this is a semi-permanent interconnect — not designed for frequent disconnect/reconnect in service.
