Sealed Right-Angle Power Header for Tight Spaces
What sets this header apart from a standard pin header is the IP67 rating — dust-tight and waterproof when mated with the matching SlimSeal receptacle. That seal, combined with the 400V voltage rating and the 3.5A to 5A current capability (depending on wire gauge), puts it in the class of a sealed power interconnect, not a dry-box signal connector.
What the Ratings Tell You About the Fit
The current rating has a wire-gauge dependency that matters at the harness design stage: 3.5A per contact with 22-24 AWG wire, and 5A per contact with 18-20 AWG. That means the connector's real current capacity is set by the wire you crimp into the mating receptacle terminal, not by the header contact alone. If you're running a 4A load, you need at least 20 AWG on the cable side to stay inside the rating. Thirty mating cycles is low — this is a semi-permanent install connector. The IP67 seal means you don't want to be cycling this connector in the field; it's designed to be mated once and left alone in a sealed enclosure or outdoor junction box.
Does It Have a Board Lock?
Yes — the board lock is listed as a feature on this header. In a sealed outdoor assembly, that extra mechanical grip is worth having.
