The 2106489-4: The 4.00 mm pitch is identical on both the cable side and the board side, so the wire spacing matches the PCB footprint without a pitch transition inside the connector. The closed-end feature encloses the back of each IDC slot, so the wire insulation is fully captured and the conductor is protected from stub-out or accidental pull-out at the termination point.
Board Layout and Harness Fit
The 4.00 mm board-side pitch gives enough room between adjacent through-hole solder tails to route a single 18 AWG wire per position without crowding the pad.
