USB 2.0 Micro-B Receptacle for SMD Right-Angle Mounting
This is the standard interface for micro-B cable plugs found on legacy smartphones, peripherals, and embedded modules. The contact finish is palladium-nickel rather than the more common gold flash. Palladium-nickel gives a harder, more wear-resistant surface that supports the 10,000 mating cycle rating — roughly ten times the cycle life of a standard gold-flash USB micro-B. That cycle count makes this receptacle a fit for test jigs, field-service tools, or any application where the cable is plugged and unplugged daily. Current rating is listed as 0.5A, 1A, and 1.8A — the spread reflects derating across the five contacts depending on how many are carrying current simultaneously. The 1.8A figure applies when a single contact carries the load; the 0.5A figure is per-contact when all five are active. For a USB 2.0 power delivery of 5V at up to 500mA, the 0.5A per-contact rating covers the standard bus-powered case.
Mounting type is Surface Mount, Right Angle, with an additional Through Hole entry for the shell grounding legs. The steel and stainless shell/shielding material provides the ground path and mechanical retention. Packaging options are Tape & Reel and Cut Tape, which covers both automated pick-and-place assembly and small-quantity prototyping.
