Product details

Power pin contact for 8-10 AWG wire — 30.0 µ" gold on a heavy-duty crimp

The TE Connectivity 213841-2 is a crimp pin contact in the Multimate.125 Powerband series, sized for 8-10 AWG wire. The 0.125-inch contact centreline spacing is the series hallmark, matching the corresponding Powerband housings (sold separately). This is a pin contact, so it mates with a socket half such as the 213843-2 (same wire range) or 213847-2 (12-14 AWG).

Where it fits — and where it doesn't

The 213841-2 takes 8-10 AWG wire; the 213845-4 is a pin contact for 12-14 AWG. Both carry the same 30.0 µ" gold plating, but the wire range is the hard fit boundary — if your harness uses 10 AWG or thicker, this is the contact. The 213843-2 is the matching socket for the same 8-10 AWG wire, but with 15.0 µ" gold — half the plating thickness. For a high-cycle or sealed assembly the 30.0 µ" on the 213841-2 is the right call.

Frequently asked questions

What wire gauge does the 213841-2 support?

The 213841-2 accepts 8-10 AWG wire. That is the thickest gauge in the Multimate.125 Powerband pin contact range — sized for power distribution, not signal-level wiring.

Is the 213841-2 a pin or a socket contact?

It is a pin contact. It mates with a socket contact in the same series — the 213843-2 (8-10 AWG, 15.0 µ" gold) or the 213847-2 (12-14 AWG, 30.0 µ" gold).
