M.2 (NGFF) Edge Connector — 67-Position Right-Angle SMT
The TE Connectivity 2199119-8 is a 67-position female M.2 (NGFF) connector designed for the standard 0.50 mm pitch edge-finger interface on M.2 modules. This right-angle surface-mount variant places the card parallel to the main PCB, suiting space-constrained layouts in laptops, embedded systems, and industrial single-board computers. The black thermoplastic housing includes an integral board guide that aligns the module during insertion, protecting the narrow 0.50 mm pitch contacts from stubbing.
Pitch, Position Count, and Keying Compatibility
Unlike a 75-position M.2 connector (Key E for WLAN), this 67-position variant covers the full B and M key pinout. The dual-row readout mirrors the staggered contact arrangement on the module edge, so the footprint on the motherboard must follow the TE recommended land pattern for this pitch and row spacing.
The board guide provides mechanical alignment during module insertion, but the connector itself has no additional board locks — the SMT solder joints bear the insertion and extraction forces. For production volumes, a pick-and-place nozzle profile that clears the right-angle body is needed.
