Board-to-Card Edge Receptacle for Space-Constrained Layouts
The 0.130" (3.30mm) pitch sets the card-edge contact pad spacing — a tighter pitch than standard 0.156" card-edge connectors, saving board real estate for the slot. This member sits in the 2213188 series as the minimum position count variant, suited for single-pair power or signal connections where only two circuits are needed.
Mounting and Termination — SMT Bottom-Entry Through-Board
The mounting type is surface mount, bottom entry, through board — the receptacle sits on the PCB surface while the solder tails pass through plated through-holes to the opposite side. This hybrid mount gives the mechanical retention of through-hole with the low-profile board-side placement of SMT. The cover protects the card-edge slot from flux, debris, or accidental contact during handling and assembly — it should be left in place until the daughter card is inserted. The 1.00mm thick PCB specification tells the board designer the slot depth and contact wipe length are tuned for a 1.00mm card, not a standard 1.6mm PCB.
