Four-entry IDC splice for 18 AWG runs
The 2213800-2 is the 4-wire-entry member of TE's CoolSplice inline butt splice line, terminating 18 AWG solid or stranded conductors through IDC contacts. The translucent-blue housing is fully insulated; the IDC termination eliminates wire stripping and crimping at each junction.
What the IDC termination means for the build
The four individual openings accept one wire each — the 18 AWG rating sets the conductor cross-section; the IDC slot displaces the insulation and makes contact without a separate terminal. Fully insulated housing means no additional heat-shrink or tape is needed over the splice point.
