ZQSFP+ Ganged 2x2 Cage Assembly — 152 Positions, Press-Fit
Each port carries 38 positions for a total of 152 (38 x 4) circuits, supporting four high-speed lanes per channel at data rates up to 28 Gbps per lane. The press-fit termination eliminates soldering, making this assembly suited for backplane and mid-plane applications where rework and thermal management matter. The integrated cage provides EMI shielding, and the built-in light pipe gives visual port identification on the faceplate — a common requirement in datacom switch and router designs.
Press-Fit Termination and Right-Angle Mounting
Press-fit (compliant-pin) termination means the connector is pressed into plated through-holes without solder. This avoids thermal shock to the PCB and simplifies rework — a single pin can be replaced without desoldering the entire 152-position assembly. The through-hole, right-angle mounting places the cage parallel to the board edge, matching the standard panel cutout for QSFP+ faceplate designs.
EMI Shielding and Light Pipe
The integrated cage provides EMI containment at the I/O faceplate. The light pipe routes port-status LEDs from the PCB to the bezel, eliminating separate light-pipe assemblies. Both features are factory-integrated into the connector body.
