Press-Fit Termination and Mounting
Termination is press-fit into a through-hole PCB. The compliant pin design cold-welds to the plated through-hole, creating a gas-tight joint without solder. This suits high-reliability backplane assemblies where solder reflow could warp the board or damage adjacent components. The connector ships in a tray, which is standard for automated pick-and-place of press-fit parts.
