ZQSFP+ Ganged Cage Assembly for 25G+ Line Cards
This is the connector half that mounts to the PCB and accepts standard QSFP+ and QSFP28 plug modules. The press-fit termination eliminates soldering, which suits high-reliability backplane assemblies where rework and field replacement of individual connectors matter. The integrated cage provides the EMI shielding required to keep 25 Gbps per lane signal paths clean in dense switch and router line cards.
The press-fit compliant pins push into plated through-holes — no wave solder or reflow step needed, which saves a process pass and avoids thermal stress on the housing. The 76-position footprint uses a 38x2 per-port layout; the board designer should verify the PCB hole pattern against the TE application drawing before committing the layout.
