What This Heat Sink Cools
The TE Connectivity 2274303-3 is a heat sink accessory designed specifically for CXP receptacles. It pulls heat off the cage assembly in high-density parallel-optics transceiver applications where the CXP module dissipates enough power that passive airflow alone won't keep the case temperature within the module's operating window. The heat sink mounts to the receptacle body and increases the convective surface area, dropping the thermal resistance between the module and ambient air.
