The shield termination is solder — you solder the braid or foil to the body after passing the cable through the nut. The centre contact also terminates by solder cup or solder post, depending on the cable prep. The through-hole PCB version uses the same solder shield termination; the panel mount version gives you a clean RF ground reference at the chassis.
