This is the standard bayonet-lock RF interface for video distribution, telecom baseband, and test equipment — the 50 Ohm match keeps reflections off the line.
RF and electrical profile
The 4 GHz frequency ceiling covers SDI video, 10/100/1000Base-T over coax, and telecom baseband up to 3 GHz. Above 4 GHz the insertion loss climbs and the connector body starts to radiate; for sub-4 GHz work it is a clean, field-proven interface.
Mounting and hardware
This is a rear-side-nut bulkhead mount — the connector body passes through the panel from the front, and the included lockwasher and nut secure it from behind. The shield is terminated via a solder tag, and the centre contact uses a solder cup — both require hand soldering to the cable braid and centre conductor. The extended insulation feature (listed on the part) provides extra dielectric creepage between the centre pin and the body, useful when the cable jacket is stripped back further than usual.
Mechanical and environmental
The dielectric is PBT (polybutylene terephthalate), which holds up to the temperature extremes and resists moisture absorption.
