Self-Mating SMD Connector for Dense Board-to-Board Links
The 0.020" (0.50mm) pitch and single-row layout pack 30 circuits into a narrow board footprint, suited for high-density signal routing between parallel PCBs or FFC-to-board transitions. Gold-plated contacts handle the low-current, low-voltage signal paths typical of this class, and the hermaphroditic design means one BOM line covers the entire mated pair — no separate plug and receptacle to track.
0.50mm Pitch and SMD Footprint
The single-row, 30-position format gives a mated pair height that stays low-profile, though the exact stack height depends on the board thickness and the opposing connector's orientation.
Hermaphroditic Connector — One Part Number for Both Halves
Because the connector is self-mating and non-gendered, any two 2291283-1 units mate together. This eliminates the need to specify a male and female half, reducing inventory line items and the risk of ordering the wrong mating side. The hermaphroditic interface uses identical contact geometry on both sides, so the mating force and contact wipe are symmetric. For a board-to-board link, this means the same reel-fed part populates both PCBs.
The Tape & Reel packaging suits automated pick-and-place assembly.
