Right-Angle DE-9 Plug with Board Locks
The DE-9 shell layout (1, DE, E) matches the standard 9-pin D-sub footprint — the same layout used for RS-232 serial ports, industrial fieldbus interfaces, and test equipment I/O. The brass contacts are signal-grade; the 2A limit keeps temperature rise within the PBT housing's UL94 V-0 flame rating.
Through-hole solder termination with right-angle pins — the pins bend 90° to sit flush on the board. The backset spacing of 0.411" (10.43mm) sets the distance from the board edge to the mounting flange, so the connector aligns with standard DE-9 cutouts in the panel or bracket. The board-side flange uses 4-40 threaded inserts for jack-screw fastening to the mating receptacle — no loose hardware to lose on site. The shell is steel with nickel plating, providing RFI/EMI shielding continuity when mated.
