It uses insulation displacement contacts (IDC) — no wire stripping or crimping needed, just a mass-termination tool. The closed-end housing prevents the cable from pushing through and gives a positive stop during assembly. This is the 4-circuit member of the AMPMODU 2mm IDC family, pitched at 0.079" (2.00 mm), which is the standard spacing for 2 mm ribbon cable.
The 2.00 mm pitch matches common 2 mm ribbon cable — if your harness uses that pitch, this receptacle drops right in. It accepts 26-30 AWG wire, which covers most signal-level ribbon and discrete wiring in control cabinets and internal device harnesses.
How It Terminates and What It Mates With
No crimp tool, no solder. The closed-end housing acts as a cable stop, so the ribbon or discrete wires seat consistently every time.
