8.00 mm pitch plug for tool-less power wiring
The 2318582-5: The 0.315" (8.00 mm) pitch gives each circuit room to carry higher current than a dense signal connector—the wide contact spacing limits temperature rise between adjacent conductors under load. The lever actuated mechanism opens the contact clamp without tools: push the lever up, insert the stripped wire, snap the lever down. It cuts installation time versus a screw clamp and removes the risk of over-torque damage to the housing. The housing is natural PBT, glass filled, rated UL94 V-0. The glass fill gives the snap-in panel mount the stiffness to hold the connector in a cut-out under cable strain without cracking.
Screwless termination accepts 18-24 AWG solid or stranded wire, with a strip length of 10 mm. The contact clamp pushes against the conductor without a separate ferrule—the spring force holds the wire against the current bar. Contact mating finish is tin.
