Wiring a 4-position terminal block plug
The 2350398-4: Rated 8 A at 150 V UL, with a UL94 V-0 polyamide housing that handles the temperature rise in a panel or junction box. Termination is screwless — push the stripped wire (16-24 AWG, 9-10mm strip length) into the spring cage, and the leg spring holds it. To release, push the orange button on top.
This 4-position plug is the same 3.50mm pitch as the 3-position sibling 2350398-3, so the board footprint is identical — just one fewer circuit. If you need a higher current or voltage rating, the screw-clamp sibling 284510-4 carries 11 A at 300 V, but uses a rising cage clamp and a mating flange — different termination tooling and a taller profile.
Mating with the header
Mates with a 4-position shrouded header of the same 3.50mm pitch — the plug wires enter at 180° (straight in line with the header pins), which keeps the wiring bundle aligned with the board edge. The green housing colour is standard for Buchanan terminal blocks — colour-coding helps identify circuit groups in multi-level assemblies.
