Board-fit and routing for the 4-position Buchanan header
The 2351886-4: This 4-position, single-level header from TE's Buchanan series is specified when a terminal block interface needs a shrouded, through-hole pin header on 3.50 mm pitch. The 0.138" (3.50mm) pitch sets the PCB footprint and the per-contact current ceiling — at 12 A the temperature rise stays within the UL-rated limit for the PA66 housing. The vertical orientation and 0.134" (3.40mm) contact tail length suit a standard 1.6 mm PCB; the 0.362" (9.20mm) insulation height provides clearance above the board for wire entry from the mating plug.
Current, voltage, and material limits for the build
Rated 12 A at 150 V under UL conditions — the limiting factor is the contact-to-contact temperature rise in still air, not the contact itself.
