Board-Level Terminal Block for SMD Assembly
The TE Connectivity Buchanan Termi-Blok 2383941-2 is a 2-position, single-level terminal block in a surface-mount package with a 0.150" (3.81mm) pitch. It terminates 18-28 AWG wire via a screw-driven rising cage clamp — the screw pushes a clamp plate down onto the stripped conductor, making a gas-tight connection that can be re-terminated in the field.
Rated for Control and Low-Power Distribution
Rated 7 A at 300 V, this block handles control wiring, sensor loops, and low-power distribution inside an industrial cabinet. The 18-28 AWG wire range covers common field-wiring sizes; the M2 screw with a specified torque of 0.5-0.6 Nm (4.4-5.3 Lb-In) gives a repeatable termination without guesswork. The copper alloy contacts are nickel-tin plated — adequate for the current level and the moderate mating-cycle count of a screw terminal.
SMD Assembly and Reflow Compatibility
The polyamide housing is rated for reflow soldering — the board guide helps the part self-center on the pads during placement. Because the screw terminals are above the board, the solder joints are only carrying mechanical retention and the electrical connection; the wire clamp takes the strain.
