3-Position SMD Terminal Block for Dense PCB Layouts
The TE Buchanan Termi-Blok 2383942-3 is a 3-position, single-level terminal block in a surface-mount package, designed for direct PCB termination of field wiring. Rated 12 A at 300 V, it handles the common 24 VDC sensor and actuator loops found in PLC I/O modules, as well as lower-power AC control circuits.
Rising Cage Clamp and Surface Mount Assembly
Wire termination uses a screw-actuated rising cage clamp — turning the M2 screw (torque to 0.5-0.6 Nm) lifts a nickel-plated copper alloy clamp plate that presses the stripped wire against the current bar. This is a field-proven termination for solid and stranded wire; the clamp captures the conductor without damaging the strands.
