3.50 mm pitch SMD header with screw clamp termination
The 2383942-6 is a 6-position, single-level wire-to-board header from the Termi-Blok, Buchanan series, built for 3.50 mm pitch layouts. It terminates 18-28 AWG wire with a screw-driven rising cage clamp — the screw tightens against a moving clamp that pushes the wire into the contact, not the screw tip directly onto the strand.
Surface-mount footprint and board guide
This is a surface-mount header, reflow-soldered to the board. The housing includes a board guide that aligns the part during pick-and-place and holds it square through the reflow oven — no secondary hand-soldering for alignment. The screw torque spec is 0.5-0.6 Nm (4.4-5.3 Lb-In) — over-torquing strips the M2 thread in the polyamide housing, so use a torque-limited driver on the assembly line. Contact plating is copper alloy with nickel and tin, which mates with the tin-plated wire stripped length — no galvanic mismatch with common copper building wire.
