Termi-Blok SMD Terminal Block, 3 Positions, 3.81mm Pitch
The TE Connectivity Buchanan Termi-Blok 2383945-3 is a 3-position, single-level terminal block on a 0.150" (3.81mm) pitch, designed for surface-mount soldering directly onto the PCB. It uses a screw-actuated rising cage clamp to terminate 16-28 AWG wire — the clamp pulls the wire up against a nickel-plated copper alloy contact, giving a gas-tight connection without stripping or ferrule prep. A built-in board guide on the underside helps align the part during pick-and-place and reflow.
Screw Torque and Clamp Detail
The M2 screw is torqued to 0.5-0.6 Nm (4.4-5.3 Lb-In) — over-tightening strips the threads in the polyamide housing, so a torque-limiting driver is recommended for production. The rising cage clamp is plated nickel over copper alloy; the screw itself is the same nickel-plated copper alloy, which avoids galvanic corrosion with the copper conductor.
